Outdoor Early Education Conference 2019

Children play at an outdoor play space in a beautiful, natural setting

What is it?

Join Little Schoolhouse in the Woods in celebrating outdoor early childhood education on April 13, 2019 for an intimate discussion with local Cincinnati Early Childhood Educators who are incorporating nature into their everyday classrooms.

We are excited about the results we are seeing with young children in natural learning environments and we want to share our experiences with other educators! We would also like to learn from others what is working for them. The more we collaborate with like-minded educators, the better prepared we are.

This conference will be a shared collaboration. It will be a time to connect with local educators who share a vision of working with the whole child and seek to incorporate the natural world around them.

Each program should come prepared to share an overview and what they are doing that works, as well as what they would like to be doing.  There should be some time for Q&A and discussion. Plan on speaking for 30 to 60 minutes.

Our space is limited, so this conference is contingent on good weather. Unfortunately, inclement weather will cancel. Each school should plan on carpooling, parking is limited.

Outdoor Educators enjoy getting muddy with children and utilizing natural resources, such as collecting clay from a nearby creek bed.

Bring: smiles, food to share, plates and utensils.

Conference will start at 9 am and ends depending on how many presentations we have. We will break around noon for a potluck style meal. Label your dish for those with special diets.

Educators should RSVP by February 15, 2019 by emailing us at:
